Is it possible to change the ethernet port in SMI from the default 10001 to a different user defined port like say 4000?

Port 10001 is the only one available. It's hard coded into the Ethernet board on that product.

Thank you for your help, much appreciated. FYI, I'm working with a Red Lion HMI, and their Crimson 3 software will only allow ports up to 9999.

Yes... Sorry to say... we can't make any changes on our current Class4 -ETH product... though that will be changing in the near future... but... Red Lion may be able to offer a work around... they're good at that!

Yeah, I would assume that it is easier for them to change their software than it is for you to change a board on a class 5 motor 😉
