Hi,
I'm actually using SMI on windows XP and it's running pretty fine. But I'm wondering how it would run on a windows 7 32 and 64 bit.
I also experience an issue with the "Motor View" feature in Windows XP. Everytime I right-click a motor then select "Motor view" The application crashes...Anyone experienced that kind of issue ?
Thanks,
Francis
Hi Francis,
SMI2 works well on Windows7 32-bit. As far as the appication crashing, it could be related to FIFO buffer settings in WindowsXP. Go into the Device Manager, select the com port being used and open it's properties. Look for the "Advanced" button on port settings and set the FIFO sliders to their lowest setting.
Thanks for your answer.
Any idea about Win7 x64 ?
I tried to reduce the FIFO settings to minimum and SMI still crashes.
For now, you have to run SMI2 as a 32-bit application on a Windows7 64-bit system.
