Hi,

I have an HLD60 actuator with a SM23165DT Drive Enabled smart motor / actuator. I want to be able to move the actuator to a specified position and then tell the motor that is the "new" zero position. This is very easy to do with the SMI software. However, I'd like to send a serial command to the motor via RS232 in order to do this via my Red Lion G306 HMI.

What is the command to set the zero position of the motor? This is possible via SMI so I'd like to know what command to send to the motor to reset the zero position.

Thank you in advance for your help, much appreciated.

The command that set's the current position is the Origin command.
The syntax is O=value ...value can be zero or an offset.

Example1:
O=0

Example2:
O=-500

Thank you so much, that helped immensely. Worked like a charm as I can now manually jog the motor to the desired position and set that new position as "home".
