Limit current without killing the motor

Hi,

Besides ADT values, is there a way that I can top the current to a limit, let say 20 Amps max load, without having the motor die if it reaches that value?

I know that AMPS will just make the motor die instead.

If the motor is Class5, you can monitor the TRQ variable, and decide to change operation based on it's value, but the AMPS command is the only way to limit output from the drive.
