I am unable to upload a program from the smartmotor. I get the following error when I try; A response was expected from the motor "Motor3-Com1", but was not received. I have no problems communicateing with this motor through the terminal view or motor playground. I also have 2 other motors on the daisy chain which I can upload the programs from. How can I correct this issue?
The motor you cannot communicate with was probably locked with the LOCKP command by the programmer... whether intentional or unintentional. The symptoms you describe indicate this. I hate to say it... but the only option is to clear the EEPROM... which clears the locked condition. This means you lose the program. Your best bet is to find a copy of the original source code... otherwise... the program will have to be re-written from scratch.
